About Phillips Lawn and Lube

Erath does the Fourth of July the way few towns its size do, and by then the summer has settled over Vermilion Parish for good. Phillips Lawn and Lube cuts through that season — mowing in the early hours, trimming the fence lines and around the oaks, edging drives, blowing the walks clear before the day turns heavy. Grass down here grows on humidity alone, and a lawn left two weeks is a different problem than a lawn left one. Keeping to the schedule is most of the craft; the rest is the finish. Even height, clean lines, concrete swept — that is what a yard should look like when the truck pulls away.
