Handyman Shu

About Handyman Shu

The old blocks of Donaldsonville wear their history plainly: shotgun houses shoulder to shoulder, iron fences, the twin spires of Ascension of Our Lord standing above the rooftops. Yards down in there are small and particular, tucked into corners and side strips where a wide deck mower will never fit. Handyman Shu works them close — hand mowing, edges cut tight along brick and curb, hedges squared, clippings swept off the banquette so nothing gets tracked indoors. It takes a patience that a big open lot never asks for. Step out to the sidewalk afterward and the whole street looks a little better tended than it did that morning.
