On The Dime Lawncare

About On The Dime Lawncare

The Red River bends slow through the middle of Louisiana, and Alexandria wakes along its banks while the heat is still holding its breath. On The Dime Lawncare is out at that early hour, the mower cutting the first clean line across a St. Augustine yard before the humidity thickens over the levee. There is pride in the turn at the end of each pass, in the edge dropped exactly where the walk meets the grass. By the time the sun climbs the riverbank, the strip is mowed, trimmed and edged, and the crew is already down the block. In a Cenla summer that grows everything fast, showing up early and cutting true is its own small art.
