Johnny’s Lawn Care

About Johnny’s Lawn Care

Live oaks in south Louisiana let go of their leaves in spring, all at once and out of order, so April in Abita Springs arrives with brown drifts piling under trees that are greening at the same moment. Johnny's Lawn Care spends those weeks raking and blowing as much as mowing, pulling leaf and moss out from under the low limbs where a mower can't reach. Then the cut: an even pass across the yard, a clean edge at the drive, the trimmer taking the base of every post. What comes back is that particular north shore green, deep and a little glossy, set off against the gray moss overhead. It is the sort of result you notice from the porch without quite knowing why.
