Matney’s Lawn Care - Winchester

About Matney’s Lawn Care - Winchester

The last of the light goes gold over Main Street, and in the backyards behind it the mowers are finishing their final pass. Matney's Lawn Care keeps a Winchester schedule: same day, same route, the grass cut before it gets away from anybody. Trimming close around posts, mailboxes and foundations; edging the curb until the line reads straight; the last of the cuttings swept off the steps. In fall the sugar maples turn loose all at once and the work becomes leaves; in July it becomes simply keeping up. Either way the yard goes back to the people who live in it, ready for a cookout or a quiet evening on the porch.
