Yard Barber

About Yard Barber

Down where Sloans Valley drops toward the Cumberland the bluffs hold shade most of the afternoon, and a Friday cut there feels like getting a place ready for the weekend. Yard Barber approaches it the way the name suggests: an even length overall, the outline cleaned up close, nothing left hanging over the concrete. Mowing sets the shape, trimming handles what the deck cannot, edging draws the finish line, and the walks get blown so the cut looks as sharp as it is. Around Somerset the grass keeps coming from April clear into October, so it is a standing appointment rather than a one-time fix. Done right, a yard leaves looking freshly turned out — and holds it until the next visit.
