Piatt's Tree & Lawn Service

About Piatt's Tree & Lawn Service

March along Buck Creek is wind and bare limbs, the maples on the fence lines still holding nothing, the bottoms brown and matted from winter. That is when Piatt's Tree & Lawn Service starts turning back to the lawns around Somerset — clearing off what the season left, getting a first cut on the turf, opening the edges back up along the drives and walks. Grass here wakes up early on the south-facing slopes and later down in the shade, so the first few visits are as much about reading the ground as running the mower. Trimming and blowing finish it, and the yard stops looking like something winter happened to. By the time the hills of Pulaski County green up in earnest, the route is already back on rhythm.
