Outside Pride

About Outside Pride

Midsummer, and the front yards along Simpsonville's older streets throw off a heat you can actually see. Outside Pride cuts them in the cool half of the day — mowing, trimming out the fence corners and around tree trunks, edging where turf meets concrete so the boundary is a line and not a suggestion. Stripes laid down in alternating passes catch the low afternoon light and hold it, and a lawn that was shaggy Monday reads as looked-after from the road. Out past town the fields roll toward Shelbyville in long green sweeps, and a kept yard is a small piece of that same order. The name says the whole idea: what shows from outside is worth doing right.
