Barry's Lawn Care

About Barry's Lawn Care

Shively sits low and green in the Ohio's old floodplain, where Dixie Highway runs straight past brick warehouses and the July air goes thick enough to lean on. Barry's Lawn Care works the yards on either side of it — the deep front lawns, the alley strips, the corner lots that catch every hour of sun. A mow here gets measured in the line the wheels leave and the edge along the walk, cut so clean the concrete looks new again. Late in the day, when the light comes sideways and the mowers cool in the shade, a whole block reads as one long tidy ribbon. That is the work: grass kept sharp in a town that has always known how to keep things running.
