Cardinal Curbing

About Cardinal Curbing

There is a red flash in the hedgerows around Shepherdsville all winter — the bird Kentucky claims as its own, refusing to leave — and by the first mild week of March the yards it lives in are ready for attention again. Cardinal Curbing takes up the season there, mowing, trimming and cutting clean edges on properties across the northwest side of town. An edge is the detail people notice without naming it: the line where lawn stops and drive begins, held straight all the way down. Spring in the Salt River valley arrives wet and quick, and the schedule tightens to keep up with it. From that first cut onward, the route runs through the growing months and into the leaf season.
