Runner Turf & Landscaping

About Runner Turf & Landscaping

First light on the Shelby County horse farms comes up over black plank fence and pasture that runs to the ridgeline, and the ground is still cool enough to work. Runner Turf & Landscaping starts its days there and in the yards nearby — mowing, trimming out the fence corners a deck cannot reach, edging drives, then aerating and overseeding when the calendar allows, because turf in this county is asked to hold up to sun, clay and a lot of foot traffic. Grass gets treated as something grown rather than something merely shortened: mowing height matched to the season, direction changed pass to pass, thin spots addressed instead of hidden. This is Saddlebred country, and people here have opinions about how ground should look. A field or a front lawn cut even and green at seven in the morning is worth getting up for.
