Bastin Turf

About Bastin Turf

May in the Bluegrass turns a green you have to see to believe, and turf is the whole subject here. Bastin Turf works the grass itself — cutting on a rhythm the lawn can keep, edges run true, thin spots fed and thickened until the fescue closes over them. Shelbyville sits in horse country, where black plank fence lines run to the horizon over pasture held short and even, and a home lawn can carry that same standard. Cut at the right height in the right week and a yard will hold its color deep into a dry August. The stripes laid down on a Tuesday afternoon are worth stopping the truck to look at.
