Lance Stapp's Gator Lawn Care

About Lance Stapp's Gator Lawn Care

Late afternoon on the Russell County uplands, the shadows of the fencerows stretch clear across the hayfields and the whole ridge turns gold. That is usually the hour Lance Stapp's Gator Lawn Care is finishing up — tailgate down, trimmer cooling, one last walk of the yard to catch whatever the mower could not reach. The work is straightforward and it shows itself plainly: even cutting height, clean borders along the drive and the beds, nothing left blown out into the road. Yards run big and uneven out here, a ditch line on one side and a stand of cedar on the other, and making them look uniform takes knowing the ground underneath. Knowing the ground is most of the job.
