About Schallner Lawn Care and Landscaping LLC

Richmond announces spring in redbud, weeks before anything else agrees to it — a haze of purple along the fencerows out toward Dreaming Creek while the grass is still making up its mind. That is when Schallner Lawn Care and Landscaping LLC gets loud again: mowers off the trailer, string trimmers humming at the fence posts, mulch going down dark around the beds. Through a Madison County summer the grass grows the way it wants to, fast after a warm rain and stubborn in August, and the work is simply meeting it every week without letting it get ahead. The pleasure is in the edge — that thin, deliberate line where turf stops and driveway starts, drawn the same way on every visit. By the time the truck pulls out, the clippings are cleared off the walk and the yard looks like somebody decided about it.
