Blades and Blooms

About Blades and Blooms

Summer mornings in Pond Creek open with fog sitting low on the water, and the grass holds its dew until the sun finally clears the hill. Blades and Blooms works that first cool hour, mowing while the ground is still firm and the air off the fencerow smells like honeysuckle. The rows come out even, the trimmer follows every fence post and mailbox, and the walks get blown back into the yard instead of out onto the road. Flower beds are edged so the mulch line stays exactly where it was drawn. By the time the heat settles over the bottomland, the place looks like somebody loves it.
