About Summit Arbor Company

Early spring in the Cumberlands shows up as fog first — it pools in the valley below Pine Mountain State Resort Park at daybreak, burns off by mid-morning, and underneath it the grass has quietly decided to start over. Summit Arbor Company takes up the Pineville lawns right about then, with the first mow of the year, trimming and edging back the ragged margins winter left, and cleanup work to clear whatever the wind brought down across the cold months. Ground in this county is steep and stubborn and worth the trouble it asks for. A lawn brought back into shape after a hard winter has a look all its own: greener at the borders, tidy where the yard meets the road, the sort of thing you notice from the driveway before you notice anything else. From up on the park road the town reads as one green stitch along the valley floor, and every yard kept well is a part of it.
