About Faulkner’s & Son’s Lawn Services LLC

Late spring in Pine Knot comes with a yellow dusting of pine pollen on windshields, porch rails and every still puddle, a sure sign the McCreary County woods are wide awake. Faulkner’s & Son’s Lawn Services LLC is out in those weeks, mowing lawns that grow fast between the pines and trimming them back from fence lines and gravel drives. Yards here are often carved out of forest, and the work is about holding that clearing: grass level, edges crisp, needles and twigs raked out of the way. A cut lawn set against tall dark pines is a sight to be proud of, the green of the grass and the green of the trees each making the other look richer. That is the scene Faulkner’s & Son’s leaves behind in Pine Knot.
