Plummer's Contracting

About Plummer's Contracting

March in Bourbon County is mud and possibility — ground soft underfoot, the bluegrass thinking about it, every rough patch in a yard suddenly visible. Plummer's Contracting starts its lawn season right there, with the first cuts that wake a yard up and the trimming that reclaims the fence lines winter let go. Out past Ruddels Mills the lots run big and the ground rolls, so mowing is planned in long passes rather than laps, and the edges along drive and walk are cut back until the property has a clear outline again. By June that same yard reads as one green sheet with a hard line at the pavement. Fall brings the leaf work, and the lawns go into the wet months clean.
