Meade’s Landscape

About Meade’s Landscape

By mid-October the ridges above Paintsville go copper and gold all the way down to the water at Paintsville Lake, and the yards below them fill with whatever the wind decides to bring. Meade's Landscape reads a property the way you read this country — where the ground falls, where water runs after a hard rain, which bank wants mowing and which wants planting. Mowing, trimming, bed work and cleanup are the daily bread; the pleasure is in a slope that finally looks intentional instead of accidental. Leaves come off the turf, bed lines get redrawn, and a hillside yard in Johnson County holds its shape straight through the cold months. When April loosens the hollows again, the grass returns to ground that was kept ready for it.
