About Thompsons Turf

There is a stretch in early fall when the nights cool off, the dew comes on heavy, and Owensboro turf finally gets a chance to put roots down. Thompsons Turf works with that window — aeration to open compacted river-valley ground, overseeding to thicken what summer thinned out, and the weekly mowing, trimming and edging that carries a lawn the rest of the year. Fescue here spends July simply holding on, so what happens in September decides how a yard looks the following May. Walking a lawn at first light and leaving prints across the dew is one of the better parts of the job. They cover Owensboro and the county around it.
