About Property Pros

The old rail bridge still stretches over the water at Newport's north end, and the streets running back from it hold block after block of small, close-set yards. Property Pros keeps a good many of them on a set schedule — mowing the same day each week, edging the walks, trimming the strips between buildings where a full-size deck will never fit. Doing several yards on one street means the whole street turns over at once, which is a satisfying way to spend a Tuesday. Clippings are cleared off the sidewalks and drives before the truck moves on. A town looks after itself best when the ordinary maintenance simply happens, on time, without fuss.
