About Ray's Pro Lawn Care LLC

By late August the cicadas out along Grassy Lick have taken over the evenings, and the cool part of a Kentucky day has shrunk down to about two hours after supper. That is prime mowing weather, and Ray's Pro Lawn Care LLC uses it — cutting, trimming around trees and foundations, edging the drive, and blowing the walks clean while the heat finally lets go of the pavement. Mount Sterling summers put a lawn through a lot: humid mornings, hard afternoon thunderstorms that come up out of nowhere, then a dry spell that browns the high spots. Working with that rather than against it means reading each yard week to week and cutting to suit what the grass is actually doing. There is a particular pleasure in rolling away at dusk from a yard that looks cool and level and finished.
