Smiths Lawn Maintenance

About Smiths Lawn Maintenance

By the middle of October the maples along Morehead's side streets let go all at once, and a lawn mowed on Friday has gone under gold by Sunday. Smiths Lawn Maintenance runs that whole fall stretch — leaf cleanup, the late mowings that grind the litter down fine, the beds and borders cleared out before the cold sets in. Blowing a yard clear is slow, patient work, corner by corner and fence by fence, until the turf shows through underneath again. There's a cold clean smell to those afternoons, woodsmoke somewhere down the block and the ground starting to go hard. A lawn that goes into winter tidy comes out of it ahead.
