The Lawn Barber

About The Lawn Barber

A lawn wants what a good haircut wants: an even pass, clean lines, and nothing left on the collar. The Lawn Barber keeps west Louisville trimmed — mowing, string trimming around posts and beds, edging along walks and curbs, and blowing the clippings off the concrete before the truck rolls. Evening light comes in long and low over the ballfields near Chickasaw Park, and that is the hour a fresh cut looks its finest. Summers here run heavy and wet off the river, so the grass keeps its own calendar and the route returns on schedule. Leaf cleanups carry the work on into the cool end of the year.
