Big John's Lawn Care

About Big John's Lawn Care

Morning comes slowly along Beargrass Creek, light filtering down through the sycamores before it ever reaches the grass. Big John's Lawn Care works those east-end blocks on the mower's own schedule — cut, trim close around fence posts, edge the walk until the line is clean enough to follow with a finger. There is real pleasure in a yard that looks finished: clippings blown off the drive, the border between turf and concrete drawn sharp. Summer in this valley is humid and generous, and grass here grows like it means it, so the route comes back around week after week. When the maples give the yards more than they can hold, the leaf cleanup starts and the season closes out tidy.
