East of London the Daniel Boone National Forest begins in earnest, oak and hickory running ridge to ridge, and by late October it drops more leaf than any yard can swallow. Natures's Way works right at that edge — cutting through the growing season, trimming close where turf gives way to the tree line, then clearing the leaf load off in fall so the grass goes into winter able to breathe. There's a rhythm to autumn in Laurel County: cut high, cut often, take away what the wind brought down overnight. The payoff comes months later, when the lawn wakes up green in April instead of matted and gray. Around London, that patience is most of the job and most of the pleasure in it.
