United Landscape

About United Landscape

A creek named Town Branch runs beneath downtown Lexington, buried but never gone, and the August storms that build west over the Bluegrass still come through hard enough to remind the city it is there. United Landscape works in the space between those storms — mowing when the ground will hold a machine, clearing clippings off wet pavement, cutting back the edge that a warm rain doubles overnight. Yards on this side of town sit over shallow limestone, so feeding gets planned around what the soil actually holds rather than around a calendar square. Trimming, weed control, aeration and overseeding fill out the season, with cleanups once the heat finally lets go in October. The late light after a storm is the honest test of a lawn: everything green, every line straight, the walks dry and swept.
