Intricate Landscape

About Intricate Landscape

Some lawns are all detail — the older streets of Chevy Chase, where the yards are small, the maples are old and every bed line curves. Intricate Landscape does its best work in those tight quarters, walking the trimmer around tree rings, porch steps and fence posts that a wide deck will never reach. An October afternoon on that side of town smells like cut grass and sycamore leaf; the mowing gets done, the border gets drawn sharp along the brick walk, and the clippings get blown off the sidewalk instead of left there to stain it. Cleanups clear the beds and the gutter line at the curb so a block reads tidy from one end to the other. It is close, patient work, and it shows from the street.
