About Silman's Lawn, Land and Tree, LLC

Late winter out toward Falls of Rough is the season for taking ground back — brush thick along a fence line, saplings crowding a field edge, a dead limb hanging exactly where nobody wants it. Silman's Lawn, Land and Tree, LLC works all three parts of its name: land cleared and brush hauled, trees trimmed or taken down with the debris cleaned up behind them, and then the lawn itself mowed, trimmed and edged once the grass wakes up. Grayson County grows timber in a hurry, and a place left to itself for a couple of seasons will show it plainly. Opening a property back up to light and air changes the way the whole place feels to stand in. Keeping it that way afterward is the easy, ordinary pleasure of the work.
