Southern Scenery

About Southern Scenery

Morning on the bluffs above Westport arrives as fog first, lifting off the Ohio and settling into the low ground of northern Oldham County before the sun finds the hilltops. Southern Scenery works into that hour, when the grass is still cool and the first cut of the year leaves a smell you can pick up two streets over. Spring is generous in this county — redbud along the fencerows, then the long green push that keeps every yard between La Grange and Goshen growing faster than anyone plans for. Keeping up with it means regular mowing, borders trimmed back to a clean line, and mulch laid fresh where lawn gives way to planting bed. By the time the afternoon heat comes over the ridge, the yard is finished and holding its shape.
