King Lawn Care

About King Lawn Care

Kuttawa keeps one eye on the water. Lake Barkley lies along the town's edge where the Cumberland was widened, and the wind that comes across it in the afternoon carries all the way up into the yards above the harbor. King Lawn Care runs long into those western Kentucky evenings, when the light holds past eight and a freshly mowed lawn goes silver-green before dark. Lakeside grass grows fast and grows uneven, so we cut on a rhythm — mowing, trimming close to the boat trailer and the dock steps, edging the drive to a straight clean line, blowing every clipping off the concrete before we go. In autumn we take the leaves off before they mat down, and the yards go into winter looking cared for. Kuttawa, Eddyville, and the Lyon County roads between them.
