About Williams Nursery & Landscaping

By early April the Laurel County hillsides around Keavy go pink and white all at once — redbud first, then dogwood in the understory — and that's the signal to get plants in the ground. Williams Nursery & Landscaping spends that stretch of the year on beds: turning the red clay and sandstone soil, setting shrubs and perennials, laying mulch in a clean crowned line so a bed holds its shape all summer. We mow and maintain lawns too, because a planting only reads as finished when the grass around it is cut and the edge between bed and turf is cut sharp. There's a particular pleasure in coming back a year later and finding a young planting settled in, filled out, and looking like it grew there on its own. From the ridges above Keavy down to London and Corbin, that's the work — landscaping that suits the ground it's put in.
