Lane's Lawn Services

About Lane's Lawn Services

North of Hopkinsville, toward Kelly and Crofton, the morning fog sits in the low places until well after sunup, and the gravel lanes come out of it one mailbox at a time. Lane's Lawn Services is usually moving by then, waiting out the wet on the first yard and starting on the high ground while the bottoms dry. The work is straightforward and complete: mow, trim the corners and around every obstacle, edge where there is concrete to edge against, and clear off what the blades throw. Twice a year the yard gets the fuller treatment, everything raked and hauled and reset. By the time the fog burns off around ten, a couple of places along the route already look like the day went well for them.
