About Fields For Fields

Level ground is scarce around Hazard — the flat acres lie in the creek bottoms and along the river, and everything else climbs. Fields For Fields works both kinds: mowing bottomland yards and the sloped lots stacked above them, trimming, edging, and cutting overgrowth back along fence lines to a clean border. On a late summer evening the ridges stand blue one behind the next while the last lawn of the day gets its finish pass. Grass here grows thick where the water sits and thin where the rock is close, so no two properties get handled quite the same. Reading a piece of ground right and mowing it accordingly is the craft.
