Kentucky Green Grass

About Kentucky Green Grass

May is when this county earns its name — plank fences running over the rises outside Harrodsburg, pasture standing tall, and every lawn in town growing an inch between visits. Kentucky Green Grass keeps pace with mowing, trimming, edging and overseeding thin spots so the turf fills instead of thinning out. Grass on limestone ground behaves a certain way here: lush in a wet spring, quick to brown in a dry July, worth feeding attention early. The reward for that timing is a yard with real color and a cut you can see from the end of the block. Green is the name and the aim both.
