About Childress Lawn Care

Late in the afternoon the courthouse square in Glasgow throws long shade, and the old maples on the side streets let the light through in pieces. Childress Lawn Care keeps the yards under those trees — mowing, trimming close around the trunks and the foundation, edging the sidewalk so the line stays honest. The soil here sits over limestone and dries fast in August, so the cut goes higher when the weather turns hard and lower again once the rain returns. By the time the leaves come down the work turns to clearing them off the turf before they mat and smother it. A yard should look like the town it sits in: settled, kept, easy on the eye.
