Preston’s Lawn Mowing

About Preston’s Lawn Mowing

Out toward Rineyville the fields go to hay rolls by midsummer, and the heat sits heavy over the road by one in the afternoon. Preston's Lawn Mowing keeps a straightforward promise in that heat: mow it, trim it, edge it, and leave the walks swept clean. Yards get cut on a rhythm the grass sets, weekly when Kentucky rain is generous and stretched out when July goes dry and the fescue slows down. Around the shed, the mailbox, the fence corner where a mower cannot reach, the trimmer finishes the shape by hand. When autumn comes the leaves get cleared off before they can mat down and smother what was grown all summer. A cut lawn, done all the way to the edges — that is the work, and it is enough.
