About Hughes and Sons Lawncare Services

October in Dawson Springs turns the hills above Lake Beshear a rusted gold, and the leaves begin finding their way into every yard in town whether the maple belongs to you or not. Hughes and Sons Lawncare Services keeps the late-season rounds going — the closing cuts of the year, leaves pulled off the grass and out of the fence corners, walks and drives blown clean. Streets here are still filling back in with young trees staked against the wind, and the ground around them ought to look cared for while they grow. There is real satisfaction in the moment a lawn goes from buried to bare green in a single afternoon, the light coming in low and long over the Tradewater bottoms. When spring returns the mowing picks up again on a steady rhythm, week after week, until the town is green from Riverside Park out to the highway.
