About WILDCAT LAWN CARE LLC

The first mow of the year comes early down along the Dix River, where fog holds in the valley well past sunrise and the bluegrass wakes up green while the ridges above it are still brown. WILDCAT LAWN CARE LLC opens the season down there and works its way back up into Danville — the first pass taken high, then lowered week by week as the ground firms and the turf thickens. Mowing, string trimming, edging where grass meets concrete, and hauling off the clippings and winter litter: ordinary work, carried all the way into the corners. Out toward Herrington Lake the yards run down to the water and the slopes are steep enough that footing matters as much as the cut does. Come June, a lawn kept on a steady schedule looks like it was simply always that way, and that is the whole idea.
