About Vandyke's Lawncare & More LLC

October reaches Danville by way of the maples downtown. The brick streets around Constitution Square go gold for a week, and then a wind out of the northwest hands all of it to the yards. Vandyke's Lawncare & More LLC shows up for exactly that: the closing cuts of the year, leaves gathered off the turf, beds and walkways cleared, borders trimmed back sharp before the ground stiffens. The rest of the calendar it is steady, unhurried work — mowing on schedule, trimming around porch steps and posts, sweeping the drive so nothing is left behind but grass. Lawns in this part of Boyle County hold their color late, and there is real satisfaction in leaving one swept bare and tidy while the hills out toward Forkland are still turning.
