McIntosh Lawn and Leaf

About McIntosh Lawn and Leaf

The oaks and maples around Crittenden hold on late, then let go in one windy week, and every yard in Grant County vanishes underneath them. McIntosh Lawn and Leaf handles both halves of its name — the weekly mow, trim and edge all season, then leaf removal and fall cleanup once the color is down on the ground. Raking out fencerows and bed corners is the slow part; the open lawn goes quick and feels good. There is a particular pleasure in a yard uncovered in November, the grass still faintly green under all that brown. Then the mower comes out once more to tidy it up for the year.
