About Willie Jacks lawn and landscaping

Late October, and the road running east out of Calvert City toward Grand Rivers passes under a ceiling of yellow hickory. Willie Jacks lawn and landscaping works the season all the way out to its end — still cutting while the growth slows, clearing porches and drives, trimming the bed lines back so they hold a shape through the cold months. The last mow of the year has a particular pleasure to it: the yard low, swept, and put properly to bed. Come March those same yards get woken back up, cleanup first, then the weekly rhythm of cutting, trimming, and edging. Keeping a place looking after itself is the whole job, and out here people notice.
