About Sticks and Stones Landscaping and Tree Services

The ridges above Burnside are hardwood the whole way up, and in November they go bare enough that you can finally see what the summer was hiding — a leaning limb, a crowded maple, a fence line lost to brush. Sticks and Stones Landscaping and Tree Services spends that part of the year in the trees and in the beds, taking down what the wind would take down badly and shaping what is worth keeping. The lawn work carries on beneath it: mowing while the ground is still firm, trimming the corners, hauling the brush out so a yard looks intentional again. Stone, mulch and planting go in when the heat is off the season and roots can settle before the cold. Bare-branch light on a cleared property is one of the better sights this side of the lake.
