About Yard Designs

In March the ridge above the Belleview bottoms is still all browns and grays, and that is the easiest time of year to see what a yard is genuinely shaped like. Yard Designs starts there — with the bones: where a bed ought to run, which shrub has outgrown the spot it was put in, how a front walk wants to be framed. Then comes the doing, right through the season: planting and mulching, beds edged and weeded, shrubs pruned to hold their form. Mowing and trimming keep the lawn matched to the design rather than drifting out from under it. By high summer the property reads as one idea instead of a dozen, and that is the part worth waiting on.
