Wolfe's landscape construction

About Wolfe's landscape construction

Dig anywhere in Boone County and you meet limestone eventually — shelves of it in the creek beds, ledges of it under the hillside pasture. Wolfe's landscape construction builds with that in mind: retaining walls that hold a slope where it wants to move, walkways and patios set level on ground that never was, beds shaped and graded so water goes where it should. Planting follows the structure — trees, shrubs and turf established on the new grade, then kept up with mowing, trimming and fresh mulch. Winter is for the heavy work, when the ground is firm and a yard can be taken apart and put back better than it started. Come May the stone has settled, the grass has knit over the seams, and the hillside finally behaves.
