About Whelan Lawn Care And Landscaping

The creeks around Brandenburg run loud in late winter — Doe Run full and hurrying, Buttermilk Falls audible before it is visible — and that sound is the first word that the mowing year is close. Whelan Lawn Care And Landscaping opens the season with the cleanup nobody photographs: winter litter raked out, matted leaves lifted from the beds, the lawn combed awake before the first cut of the year ever goes on it. After that comes the long green routine of mowing, trimming, edging and keeping bed lines sharp from March until the grass finally quits. Yards on the bluff, yards out on the ridge roads, yards tucked back on gravel lanes — each one has its own drainage and its own opinion about when to grow. Meeting them where they are is most of the job.
