Pike Lawn & Garden

About Pike Lawn & Garden

By July the cicadas have taken over the afternoon in Brandenburg, the air sits heavy off the river, and every bed in town wants attention at once. Pike Lawn & Garden works the whole yard — mowing and trimming the turf first, then turning to the planting beds, pulling what does not belong, laying mulch, cutting a firm boundary between grass and garden. A yard reads best when those two things stay plainly separate: lawn on one side of the line, flowers on the other, nothing blurred in between. Heat like this rewards an early start and a light hand on the mower deck more than it rewards hurrying. When the evening cools and the yard is done, the place looks like somebody loves it.
