Ford's Lawn Service

About Ford's Lawn Service

Drive west out of Brandenburg late in the afternoon and Meade County opens into hayfields and long ridge roads, the light going gold over cut ground all the way toward Payneville and Battletown. Ford's Lawn Service keeps its hours in that landscape, mowing and trimming yards that sit between pasture and porch, where a lawn has to hold its own against everything growing around it. There is a plain satisfaction in a fence line trimmed straight, a ditch bank taken back, a yard that reads as tended from a hundred feet of gravel away. Grass runs hard here from May into August and slows only when the nights finally cool. Whatever the week asks for, the work gets finished and the place looks looked-after.
