Wathen Lawn Care

About Wathen Lawn Care

Out past the edge of town toward Hadley and Richardsville, the yards give way to pasture and the old barns stand dark against a bright October sky. Wathen Lawn Care works that seam between town lot and farm ground — mowing the wide yards, trimming along fence rows and porch steps, gathering leaves once the hickories let go. Fall cutting is its own discipline: growth slows, mornings frost over, and the last pass of the year has to leave a lawn set right for winter. There is a plainness to the work that suits this stretch of Kentucky — show up, take the time, leave the place looking looked-after. Come spring the mowers start again and the whole round begins over.
