The Potting Shed

About The Potting Shed

Spring reaches Chestnut Street early: redbud first, a purple haze along the fencerows, then dogwood white over Old Town Berea. The Potting Shed keeps lawns for a town that has always been fond of made things — and a lawn, kept right, is one of them. Mowing on a steady rhythm, string trimming around posts and beds and stepping stones, edges cut true where turf meets brick. In a craft town, the walk from the curb to the door is the first thing anybody reads. Most weeks it is finished by mid-morning, before the shops around College Square have quite got going.
